Day 1: Arrival at JRO – Transfer to Tarangire National Park for Game Drive

Tarangire National Park for Game Drive

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be met by your driver-guide and begin your journey southwest to Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for its large elephant population, towering baobab trees, and seasonal migration of wildlife.

After entering the park, enjoy a game drive where you may spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, ostriches, and predators like lions and leopards. You’ll also have a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint inside the park.

After the game drive, continue to your lodge near Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight.

Game Drive – Transfer to JRO for Departure

After an early breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. This scenic park lies at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and offers a mix of groundwater forest, acacia woodland, and lakeshore environments.

Look out for tree-climbing lions, large herds of elephants, baboons, flamingos, and over 400 bird species. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before beginning your journey back to Arusha or directly to JRO for your departure.
