Ngorongoro Crater for Game Drive

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your driver-guide will greet you and begin the journey to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. After a scenic drive through highland villages and the Great Rift Valley, you’ll arrive at the crater rim and descend 600 meters into the floor of this ancient caldera.

Inside the crater, enjoy a half-day game drive with opportunities to see the Big Five — especially the rare black rhino, as well as lions, buffalos, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and more. After your safari, transfer to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and rest.

Game Drive – Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for Departure

After breakfast, drive to nearby Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. This small but diverse park is known for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant families, and a vibrant variety of birds — especially pink flamingos lining the lake shore.

Explore the lush groundwater forests, open plains, and hippo pools while your guide shares insights on the unique ecology of the area. After a picnic lunch in the park, begin your drive back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight.
