Day Trip Safari in Lake Manyara National Park

Morning: Pick-up and Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

Your day begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or lodge in Arusha, Moshi, or nearby areas. You’ll meet your professional safari guide and head out on a scenic drive toward Lake Manyara National Park, located along the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment (approx. 1.5–2 hours).

Upon arrival at the park gate, you’ll check in and begin your guided game drive.

Midday: Game Drive and Picnic Lunch

Explore the diverse habitats of Lake Manyara — from underground water forests and acacia woodlands to open grasslands and the shores of the alkaline lake itself. You’ll have a chance to spot a wide range of wildlife including:

• Elephants

• Giraffes

• Buffaloes

• Hippos

• Zebras

• Tree-climbing lions

• Plus over 400 bird species, including flamingos, pelicans, and hornbills

A packed picnic lunch will be served at a designated site inside the park, offering scenic views and a break from your drive.

Afternoon: Continue Game Drive – Return to Arusha

After lunch, continue with your afternoon game drive, covering additional areas of the park and soaking in the scenery of the Great Rift Valley wall rising above the landscape.

In the late afternoon, you’ll exit the park and begin your return drive to Arusha, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or lodge by early evening.
