Day trip Safari in Tarangire National Park

Morning: Pick-up and Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Your day begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or lodge in Arusha, Moshi, or nearby areas. You’ll meet your professional safari driver-guide and set off on a scenic drive through Maasai villages and open countryside toward Tarangire National Park (approx. 2–3 hours’ drive).

Upon arrival, you’ll check in at the park gate and begin your game drive through the beautiful savannah landscape.

Midday: Game Drive and Picnic Lunch Inside the Park

Explore Tarangire’s diverse habitats, home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, impalas, ostriches, buffalo, and dozens of bird species. The park is especially famous for its elephant population and huge baobab trees dotting the landscape.

Midway through the day, stop at a scenic picnic site for lunch with views over the park, where you can relax while keeping an eye out for passing animals.

Afternoon: Continue Game Drive – Return to Arusha

After lunch, continue your afternoon game drive, covering different areas of the park and possibly spotting predators such as lions or leopards resting in the shade.

Later in the afternoon, you’ll exit the park and begin your return drive back to Arusha (or Moshi), arriving in the early evening and dropped off at your hotel or lodge.
